Electric Brakes are Now Standard on All Vennings Self Propelled Augers

All Vennings Self Propelled Augers are now fitted with Electric Brakes


As per the Goverment of South Austalia Department for Transport, Energy and Infrastructure Code Of Practice for Oversize or Overmass Agricultural Vehichles MR802 (page 8) 

10.2 The maximum speed at which you can tow an agricultural implement without brakes is 50km/h.

However:

10.2.1 where the road speed limit is lower than 70km/h but higher than 30km/h, the maximum speed at which you can travel is 20km/h less than the road speed limit;

10.2.2 where the road speed limit is 30km/h or less, the maximum speed at which you can travel is 10km/h.

 

As per New South Wales, Roads & Maratime Services  Class 1 Agricultural Vehichles Notice 2014 Appendix 1 (page 3 & 4)

2.4 Speed limits for agricultural implements without brakes

(Clause 29, Schedule 2 Road Tranport (Mass, Loading and Access) Regulation 2005)

An agricultural implement without brakes must not be towed at a speed greater than the lesser of:

(a) 20 km an hour less than the speed limit applying to the section of road on which theimplement is travelling, and

(b) 50 Km an hour

 

As per Vic Roads Information Bulletin Oversize Agricultural Vehichles (page 7)

Agricultural implements without brakes must be towed at least 20 km/h less than the posted speed limit.




Kits will soon be avaiable to convert existing augers without brakes by removing unbraked hubs and fitting new electic braked hubs
